The Role
The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a paralegal within a private family law practice and will be confident assisting on all aspects of family work. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Preparing paper and electronic court/master bundles
Liaising with courts and counsel’s chambers
Using the MyHMCTS Divorce Portal
Preparing and collating financial disclosure bundles and papers for Counsel
Taking detailed attendance notes at client meetings, counsel conferences and court hearings
Drafting legal documents including Forms E, asset schedules, ES1/ES2 questionnaires, Forms H and N260, briefs and instructions to Counsel, and bundle indexes
Drafting correspondence and managing general case-related communications
Drafting simple D11 applications
Assisting with trial preparation and attending court with Counsel
Supporting colleagues on other matters as required
About you
We are looking for a proactive, professional individual with excellent client care skills and a sensitive understanding of clients’ needs. You will be confident managing your own workload, able to prioritise effectively, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
You should also demonstrate:
A calm and professional manner, particularly under pressure
Discretion, tact and attention to detail
Strong organisational, administrative and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good analytical ability
Strong IT and document management skills
Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro and Bundledocs is essential. Familiarity with LEAP is desirable but not required.

A minimum of 3 days per week in the office is required
Application Requirements
Ideally, applicants will have:
A strong academic background (LLB or GDL – 2:1 / Commendation or above)
Previous experience working in a family law firm undertaking private family law work
